Well, I apologize again for the lag between posts...our computer had a dying hard drive, and has been in the "shop" for a week. Amazing how dependent we have become on the thing!
While it was out, though, Ben has been very busy. We went to the Zoo with some friends and had a blast. Ben got to feed the giraffes, and we saw a bunch of interesting animals.
A very hungry, but friendly, giraffe
Wow, Mommy, check out his tongue!
I love the zoo, Mommy, even when it is chilly (that means 60s and breezy here in Tucson)
He has also been working hard on crawling, and seems to finally have gotten the hang of it now (the video below is from a couple days ago, and the best crawling is around the 1:30-2 minute mark-i don't know how to edit them yet- and he is even better now!). His two upper teeth are in now (right is showing, left just poking through his gums), joining his two lower front teeth.
Naked (and drooling) crawling is the best kind!
He started swimming lessons this past Monday, and is working hard on reaching and kicking (with encouragement). He loves to splash with his arms, and will hopefully start blowing bubbles in the water soon (still mostly does that while riding in his carseat). The weather is getting really hot here, so I anticipate we will start spending quite a bit of time in the water in the months to come.

A mouthful of water...yuck!
Swimming is fun!!
We are excited for a visit with Auntie Becca and Parker this weekend, and are also looking forward to a visit from Auntie Jackie next month. We love visitors!
Sorry for my slackerishness in posting to the blog-Benjamin and I went on a trip at the end of March and have been a bit disorganized ever since. We are working this week to get back into our routine, though.
Our trip was to Chicago to visit Auntie Marisa and Uncle Winston's new apartment-which was beautiful! Ben tried his best to leave his mark (in small spit-up splotches on the nice hardwood floors), but I am pretty sure we got them all cleaned up. We also has the chance to go to Milwaukee to visit some of my old work friends at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin-Ben was a big hit and he was glad to meet all the Falcons. We rounded out our trip with the weekend in Portage, topped off with a last minute ticket change to avoid snow (GASP! In March...) and freezing rain in Chicago.
Since being back in Paradise (where the weather is 80 and sunny almost every day) we have been walking with our friends (a group getting bigger by the day!), exploring new places and thinking a bit about our next move to Napa, CA. Ben is getting around much more easily now-crawling quite quickly (still backwards only) and rolling his way around the living room. He is taking a keen interest in more of his toys, though household items seem just as appealing most of the time! He is talking more and more (lots of dadada & mamama, though still not at us, and even more blablabla) We have the feeling once he gets talking, we may never be able to keep him quiet. He is still loving solids-just started fruits this week and applesauce is a quick favorite.
A Happy St. Patrick's Day to all! (Thanks for my cool shirt Uncle Mike!)

Cool Tupperware!
Also, Ben has been busy practicing his yoga-check out his plank pose and his advanced, one leg pose (not sure what this one would be called...)
