Benjamin & Emily had several fun events for Valentine's Day (which, as you can see by the title of the post, has become a newly named holiday in our house). We enjoyed a party at music class Monday, and Ben had a great time at school this morning, and came home with a bag of goodies (and a sugar high!) Maybe it is just the weather...
I had to laugh when yesterday, after I put his pink polo shirt on, Benjamin looked at me and said earnestly, "That's Emily's shirt, Mom" - as if real boys don't wear pink. They do say the darndest things...
Either way, as Benjamin would say "Happy Valentimes Today"
Warming up for their photo...
Valentine's Cuteness!
Over it, Mom!
Chubby, sweet girl!
Fun, Valentine's hat from school, with matching red lips fro the Jell-O snack!
We have been enjoying some very nice, unseasonably warm weather here this winter. Despite that, Ben has enjoyed his 'winter gear", including his "puffy vest" and his scarf. He has even been digging around in the pantry for cool weather treats (chocolate and wine, mostly) and enjoying all the fun activities at his preschool in the new year.
Very suave in my scarf and Mommy's sunglasses
Puffy vest, and Granna's flip-flops
Interesting animal habitat
Sharing some crib time after afternoon naps
A magnum, no less!
Emily continues to grow and change, becoming more vocal every day, babbling to keep up with her verbose big brother, and rolling all around to keep her toys to herself. She is working out the kinks in solids (cereal OK, zucchini, not so much...) and nearly able to sit by herself.
Cereal baby
Give me that spoon, Mom!
This zucchini, though, not so much! YUCK!
