Newest Freeto

Hi friends and family!

I am trying to join the technology age by starting this blog to document the goings on of our family in Arizona, far from most of our old friends and our families. Hopefully we will all be able to enjoy pictures, stories and maybe even some videos together, and can to keep in touch with everyone around the country (and beyond!)

I will try to keep regular posts and update pictures frequently.

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our son Benjamin David Freeto (named after his 2 fabulous grandfathers). Benjamin was born Tuesday, August 26, at 4:33pm Arizona time (which right now is the same as Pacific Standard). He came a little early, as his due date was September 5th, and gave us a little bit of a scare prior to his arrival necessitating an unexpected C-section, but has since been doing extremely well and warming our hearts, filling us with so much love that we often find ourselves at a loss for words. His birth weight was 7 lbs, 1 ounce, he was 19.5 inches long and has a great head of dark brown hair (which his daddy likes to call his "man toupee"). Grandmas Perry and Freeto both flew in Thursday August 28th to meet him and to help out the new, slightly overwhelmed parents-they think he is pretty great too (in their unbiased opinions, of course). We came home from the hospital on Friday August 29th (his Auntie Kate's birthday!), and we are not looking back.

Benjamin has very strong opinions about having to burp, likes his swing and "dive bombs" with his daddy. He also enjoys being swaddled, but is not too fond of the little hand mittens that keep him from scratching his perfect face. He is very excited to meet the rest of his family, as his grandpas are visiting later this month and his aunts and uncles are all planning to see him soon as well. He is very thankful for the many fabulous gifts and thoughtful well wishes from his new friends and sends cute little baby noises and hugs to you all.

I have attached some of our favorite photos from the hospital. As we get settled at home these next few days, I am sure we will have many more to add. I have to say-this is the greatest journey of our life together, and we embark excited, ecstatic and full of joy and hope for our future together. We love you all-thanks for all the wonderful thoughts and prayers!
Much love, Jen, Brian, & Benjamin
